El Imposible which means "the impossible" is the only national park of El Salvador situated in the south of the country. It is at least about 80km away from the capital city.
It is a little complicated to reach El imposible but when you are in there you can relax how much you want. As it is a national park which is protected by the government there are 350 trees, 350 different types of birds, 500 types of butterflies and even some types of eagles habbit there. It is called "the imposible" because once in the forest it is very difficult to make your way because of the thick density of trees.

"Los Cóbanos" is located in Sonsonate. This is a wonderful white sand coast for people who practice scuba diving. Los Cóbanos is considered one of the rocky reefs of the north Pacific Ocean. Los Cóbanos is protected by a cliff that helps like a wave breaker. For the scuba divers the tour under sea lasts for five hours. They will see different marine species including corals. Also they will find interesting remains of the nineteenth century ships.

the 1980's it stared by Salvadorians emigrating to California because of the Civil War so when they tried to join a Mexican gang they were rejected so they form their own gang. And to join the M.S 18 the had to be be beaten by the gang member for 18 seconds. Members of the gang were considered to be permanent participants until they died, with the exception of becoming "calmado" or "calmada" The typical age of new members to the gang in El Salvador is 12 years old or the least 9 years old. Mara 18 has extended to many cities within El Salvador and has been incorporated in other countries within Central America, primarily Honduras and Guatemala. In 2005, attacks between MS-13 and MS-18 in multiple prisons throughout Guatemala resulted in a series of highly coordinated riots which left 31 inmates dead, and dozens more wounded, all of the gagster are recognized by the tattooing which sometimes covers the whole face.

alvadoreans are a very hardworking people, and at the same time they have great artistic ability and imagination. Salvadorean arts and crafts are truly works of art, a sample of the native lifestyle and inheritance.
The town of Ilobasco is quite famous for its clay figurines, specially its miniatures. You can see a little of everything: "gossipy women," Noah's arks, plates of typical food, etc. You also have the opportunity of seeing the artists at work as they create and paint all these beautiful sculptures.
I also like very much the 3D clay houses. My cousins have given me several as gifts and I have arranged them over my mantelpiece in such a way as to recreate a town street scene, with a sponge painted background of trees and sky.
There are also many beautiful and useful wooden crafts (carved and/or turned on a lathe): sugar bowls, pitchers, plates, wine cups, drinking cups, ice buckets, etc. Here are some samples (click on the picture to enlarge):
We also met Mr. Rigoberto Rodríguez, a very talented painter who has studied painting in México and at the National University in San Salvador. I was entranced watching him paint beautiful scenes on ceramic plates, all very fast. I liked them so much that Sonia gave me three as a gift and I bought nine more, both as presents to give and for my own.
Below you can see pictures of some of the beautiful plates that are the product of the imagination, the heart, and the talented hands of don Rigoberto (press on the different photos to see them enlarged):
There is no doubt that the artists and crafters of El Salvador are truly ambassadors of the beauty of the country.
